SmCo alloys are available with unique properties unknown in other permanent magnet materials. The material parameters can be varied over wide ranges of values and are usually taylored to the individual application.
Recoma® Stab with reduced reversible temperature coefficients. The already excellent temperature coefficients of the common SmCo alloys can be reduced to zero or even reversed in sign. As this adjustment is connected to a decrease in remanent magnetization, these grades are sometimes also used for magnets with a customized flux level.
Recoma® HT for highest operating temperatures. The temperature range of Sm2Co17 alloys can be extended to 500°C and beyond.
As in the case of the Recoma® Stab family of alloys, this is accompanied by a certain reduction of the room temperature magnetic properties.
Recoma® LM for easier magnetizing. Sm2Co17 with reduced coercivity is used in cases where high magnetizing fields are not available (complicated magnetizing patterns) or when the flux levels are to be adjusted by demagnetizing fields.
